A performer is separated from the audience by a curtain of fabric that reveals her silhouette. She reacts to a looped recording of words with nurturing connotations: “mend, hold, caress, embrace”. Audience members are invited to record their own voices, choosing from a list of words with violent connotations including “trap, scream, kill” and the performer improvises physical actions for each of them, as if their marionette.
